Elimination of volatile organic compounds in the screen printing industry
Samora Correira, Portugal

Odor emissions (volatile organic compounds, VOCs) are one of the main concerns for the screen printing industry of paper and plastic. The industrial gas purification system is designed for the treatment of persistent odor emissions.
At the Finnco Packaging plant located in Samora Correira (Portugal), glues and solvents are used in the printing phase, which causes VOC emissions. The air is extracted from different points and is treated in a fixed bed filter of activated carbon for the total elimination of odours.
